Adelle Jean Stogner, 71, of Texas, passed away peacefully. She was born on October 10, 1953, to Nell and Hershel Stogner. After losing her father at a young age, Adelle remained closely bonded with her mother, who was a central figure throughout her life. This early loss shaped her quiet strength and the independence she carried with her over the years.
Adelle worked in advertising for the local newspaper, where she was known for her dependability and her commitment to doing things the right way. She was a longstanding member of the Cold Springs Church of Christ, and her faith provided her with stability and routine. She appreciated the simple things—jazz music, her daily soap operas, and an ice-cold Dr Pepper waiting in the fridge. She valued calm, comfort, and the ability to unwind in her own way.
Adelle is survived by her daughter, Marci Hattersley, and her son, Bart Wilhite; her grandchildren, Ashli Hattersley, Savannah Butler, Zander Butler, Codi Wilhite, Zachery Wilhite, Mayson Wilhite; and her great-grandchildren, Robert Wilson, Keaton Smith, Kohen Smith, and Korbynn Lay. She is also survived by her brother, Tony Stogner; her husband, Randell Silkwood; and many nephews and cousins who cared for her.
Adelle will be remembered for her steady presence, her loyalty to the people she loved, and the routines that brought her comfort. Her legacy continues in the memories shared by her family and all who knew her.
