Angela Rachel Mathew

Angela Mathew entered time and space on June 23, 1993, in Lubbock, Texas. She spent most of her formative years in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a graduate of the Albuquerque Academy and a National Merit Finalist she went on to further her education at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a junior at Harvard University, Angela studied Neurobiology in the pursuit of a career in Medicine.A few of her many activities and accomplishments at the Albuquerque Academy and Harvard University included Harvard Invitational Semifinalist in Dramatic Interpretation, President of the Harvard College Science Club for Girls, Director of the Harvard Mock Trial Association, Editor for the Harvard Crimson, and Member of the Harvard Model Congress, which reflected her multifaceted talents and interests that spanned the fields of medicine, law, writing, theatre and drama, to mention just a few. Friends remember Angela as a committed student who flourished and excelled at everything she did, a dedicated contributor to the campus community, and a friend with an infectious spirit who was simply a joy to be around. She had zeal and passion for everything she was involved with and always looked for ways to help others in their many areas of need, be it academic, social, or otherwise. Her ambition and her drive for excellence will be forever admired by both her peers and family alike. Her young and striking legacy will never be forgotten. Angela entered into the eternal presence of Her Lord on February 10, 2014 in New Jersey.She is survived by her parents Drs. Prasad and Susan Mathew, and older brother Andrew Mathew. A Funeral Service celebrating her life will take place at the Dallas First Church of the Nazarene, 825 N. Cockrell Hill Rd., Desoto, TX 75115 at 2:00  P.M. on Saturday - February 15, 2014 with Dr. Robert Simmons and Pastor Keith Monteiro.  The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service.Interment will follow in Little Bethel Memorial Park, Duncanville, TX.
