Anita J. Hawthorne was born in Ada, Oklahoma on June 17, 1956. She had lived in Midlothian for the past 24 years. She had been employed be Gerdau (Chaparral) Steel for 30 years. Anita passed away unexpectedly Monday night, August 6, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas.

Anita is survived by her husband: Terry Hawthorne of Midlothian, son: Jeremy and his wife. Mindy Hawthorne of Pottsboro, Texas and son: Destry and his wife: Jamie Hawthorne of Durant, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren: Abigail, Erin, Caden and Cooper Hawthorne, parents: Charles and Anna Courtney of Konawa, Oklahoma, brother: David and his wife: Debbie Courtney of Chickasha, Oklahoma and sister: Mary and her husband: Larry Fletcher of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will host friends from 11 a. m. Friday, August 10, 2018 until 12 Noon at West/Hurtt Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Rev. B. C. Ross, officiating.

Interment will follow in Midlothian City Cemetery 224 S. 11th St., Midlothian, Texas 76065
