Arjorie Viola Weaver

99, of Austin, TX (formerly of Dallas) passed away on May 26, 2019. Arjorie was born and raised in the Oak Cliff part of Dallas.  She was the youngest and only surviving sibling of six to Effie & Benjamin Weaver.  She attended Boude Story and was a very gifted athlete where she went on to excel at Sunset High School from which she graduated in 1936.  Arjorie was a top athlete in basketball, tennis, golf and bowling.  She was awarded Top Female Athlete. She retired from British Petroleum after 40 years which started as Sinclair, Arco then BP.  She was the church Treasurer for 50 years.  She attended Bethany Peniel College. Survived by nieces:  Grace Sutton Etheridge of San Diego, CA, Pat Fields Burke of Duncanville, TX, Jan Hooten Kampen of Austin, TX; nephews:  Kenneth Sutton of Fairfax, VA and Steven Paul Hooten of Johnstown, CO; a host of great, great great, great great great nieces and nephews. There will be private Graveside Services for the family. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 on Saturday - June 01, 2019 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 611 N. Cedar Ridge Dr., Duncanville, TX 75116.  Arjorie will be dearly missed by all!
