Barbara Shaw Hasting

Barbara Shaw Hasting passed away in Tyler, Texas on August 5, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband: H. C. Hasting, Jr. on August 3, 2011. She had lived in Duncanville for many years before retiring to Mineola in East Texas. She had been a member of the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Mineola. Survivors for Barbara include her daughter: Carla Hasting, a grandson: Neil Hasting, brother and sister in law: Ted and Norma Shaw, brother in law and sister in law: Wayne and Sylvia Hasting, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the WEST/HURTT Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Strempke and Ted Shaw officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until service time.  Friends may also call from Noon Wednesday until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.Interment will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
