Barbara C. Newman

89, of DeSoto, TX passed away on February 22, 2012. She was a very active and long time member of the Baptist Church and she also had been a member of the Dallas DAR and Colonial Danes. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Ulmer Justin Newman, Sr. and a brother Charles R. Thomas. She is survived by her son: Ulmer Justin Newman, Jr. & his wife Elaine; daughter: Barbara Lucille Pulver; grandchildren: Robert Newman, Jeff & Donna Newman, Brian Pulver & Laura Pulver; great grandchildren: Fletcher & Tate Newman. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Windsor Park Baptist Church, 750 W. Pleasant Run Rd., DeSoto, TX at which time the Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Chris Seidlitz, officiating. Interment will be in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 9:30 A.M., Lane C. Those serving as pallbearers will be Robert Newman, Jeff Newman, Brian Pulver, Laura Pulver, Paul Dryer & Derrick Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Fletcher Newman & Tate Newman. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS THE FAMILY REQUESTS MEMORIALS BE MADE IN MRS. NEWMAN'S NAME TO THE WINDSOR PARK BAPTIST CHURCH DIRECT SUPPORT MISSIONS.
