Barbara G. Yenco

Barbara G. Yenco, 86, was born in Allen Park, Michigan to Clarence Eliason & Lucille Hodapp Eliason.

Barb loved God her entire life. She retired from Southwest Airlines as an airline reservationist. Barb loved sewing & embroidering for family, friends & herself. She loved rocking newborns as a hospital volunteer, running errands for others & helping those in need. Her most cherished memory was the opportunity to visit Pope John Paul II in person, on his trip to St. Louis, MO in 1999. 

Preceded in death by her parents; husband: J. Robert “Bob” Yenco and brother Arvid Eliason. 

Survived by daughter: Kimberly G. Yenco; son: Scott R. Yenco; grandchildren: Jeremiah A. Nicoulin of Elyria, OH, Kristen G. Jay (Shane) of Cocoa, FL, Justin A. Nicoulin of Camp Hill, PA; many nieces & nephews and Lifelong best friend (her “sissy”) Joyce Buechner of Warren, MI.

Graveside Services will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX on Friday - January 09, 2026 at 9:15 A.M. 

 A Mass will follow at 2:00 P.M. (on the same day) at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1537 Rogers Ave., Lancaster, TX.
