Betty Jo Snyder (Rios) passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Beeville, TX on January 29, 1968, Betty was a graduate of Lancaster High School in 1986. Betty loved being a mom, spending time with family and friends, she loved country music and dancing, gardening, enjoyed traveling and vacationing at the beach, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Betty worked at Albertsons in DeSoto for 13 years where she made many lifelong friends. She continued her career at Chicago Title at the Plano and Frisco offices for 25 years as an escrow assistant. She was recognized for numerous years as the Top Residential Closing Team in the country. Her customer service and kind heart led the way as she was loved by many in the real estate industry. Chicago Title’s unwavering support for Betty throughout her journey has touched the hearts of her family and will never be forgotten.
Betty is survived by her loving husband Tom Snyder, son Dylan Snyder, daughter Madeline Snyder, grandchildren Dahlia Duran, Maya Snyder, William Snyder, sister Cynthia Rios, Mother Amada Ochoa Rios, Father Rafael Rios.
Betty will be remembered for her amazing smile that would light up a room wherever she went, for being a devoted wife and mother, for her laughter and fun loving personality, her kindness and can-do spirit that were gifts to anyone that knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society Esophageal Cancer Foundation
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday - January 10, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church of DeSoto, 310 Roaring Springs Dr., DeSoto, TX 75115,
A reception will follow from 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. (same day) at Elks Lodge #2552, 1316 S. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115.
