Betty Owen

  Betty Gray Owen went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  She was born February 18, 1935 to C.C. and Marion Gray in Haynesville, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Fred A. Owen, Sr. and her son, Jerry Scott Owen.  She served as church secretary to Hampton Road Baptist Church for many years.  She is survived by her son Fred A. Owen, Jr.; grandchildren Mindy (Owen) & Chris Stant of Dallas, Jennifer (Owen) & Jeremy Haltom, great grandson Jude Scott Haltom of Royse City; brother and sister-in-law Jerry  and Juanita Gray of Magnolia, Arkansas; and several nieces and one nephew.  Private Internment will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at Hampton Road Baptist Church, Bro.
