A visitation with the family will be held from 11:30 A. M. to 12:30 P. M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at West/Hurtt Funeral Home with a Graveside Funeral and Interment at 1:30 P. M. at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery - Lane C, 2000 S. Mt. Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75224. Bro. Joel E. Harris will be officiating. Betty was born in Dallas, Texas, and had lived in Pleasant Grove before moving to Hutchins in 1974. She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years: Johnny Painter; son: Anthony Painter of Hutchins, TX; son: Stephen Christopher Painter & Deborah of Duncanville, TX; son: Michael John Painter & Angela of Crandall, TX; daughter: Connie Nash of Waxahachie, TX; daughter: Liz Knott of Lufkin, TX; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; step brother: Albert Smith & Connie of Pilot Point, TX; step sisters: Ruby Caudle & Jim of Cartwright, OK, Gladys Smith of Tyler, TX, Geneva Bedrick of Cartwright, OK and Juanita of Denton, TX. Those honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Justin Lee Daugherty, Christopher Michael Knott, John Eric Painter, William Scott Nichols, Michael John Painter, Jr. and Jeffrey Ray Miller.
