Betty Ann Scott

Betty Ann Rice was born in Crystal City, Missouri to Vernon R. and Birdie Mae Matthews Rice, Sr on January 12, 1929. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, but she did help in the DeSoto School cafateria while the children were in school. She was preceeded in death by her husband: Bert O. Scott on February 6, 2005,her parents, and a step son: Dewey Allan Scott, and her brothers and sisters. Betty passed away at her home in Navarro Mills, Texas on Saturday morning, August 24, 2013. Betty is survived by her three sons and their wives: Bert O. Scott, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Red Oak, TX, Robert Dale Scott and wife, Shari of DeSoto, and Jimmie Allan Scott and his wife, JoNetta of Navarro Mills, TX. She was also the proud "Granny" for many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the funeral home. There will be a Graveside Service with Interment at 10:30 A. M. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto. Chaplain Cornelius Greer will officiate.
