Billie Jack Blackwell

Billie Jack Blackwell, age 89, a loving husband and father passed away at peace in his home on June 14, 2023. Billie, or Jack as most called him, was born March 4, 1934, at home to Otha and Willie Blackwell in Van Alystyne, Tx. Billie “Jack” is preceded in death by his parents Otha and Willie Blackwell, his oldest daughter Sharon Barnett as well as his 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy Blackwell and his children Jackie (Jacqueline) Graham (husband Joshua), Jeanie Dale (husband Don), Charles Blackwell, Tommy Blackwell, RoyLee Blackwell, Frank Blackwell (wife Teresa), Billy Blackwell Jr and Joretta Williams as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Devin, Briona, Patricia, Jonathon and Amber. He went on many adventures with them all after his retirement. Jack was the type of man that would be there for anyone at any time if they needed him. He was always just a phone call away for everyone, especially his family. He had no greater love, or passion, than being with his wife Patsy. He loved taking care of her and their extended family. Jack will definitely be missed by all that knew him, as well as the many stories he would tell. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family ask for donations to assist with the cost of purchasing a headstone to be sent Patsy Blackwell 1217 Reedsport Pl, De Soto, Texas 75115. There will be no viewing or visitation prior to the Graveside Service. Graveside Service will be held in Ladonia Cemetery (Fannin Co.), Ladonia, TX with Rev. Howard Holmes, officiating on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
