On Wednesday, April 27, 2011, Bill lost his courageous and hard fought battle with prostate cancer. He was born on Jan. 31, 1930 in Dallas to Harvey and Gladys Shaw. He attended John H. Reagan, graduated from Adamson High School, and attended UNT. Bill had a wonderful career as a radio and TV broadcaster, journalist, investigative reporter and stage and screen actor. He was also a talented and award winning writer. He is survived by his beloved partner, Mona Clark. He is also survived by his daughter Eudicee, brother and sister-in-law, Harvey Lloyd and Jean Shaw, sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Michael Cothran, and several nieces and nephews. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Japan, Korea, and Europe. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:30 A. M. at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Human Society, SPCA, or charity of your choice.
