Billy Earl Weaver

October 15, 1939 — November 11, 2014

75, of Duncanville and formerly of DeSoto, was born in Chicota, Texas to Rev. James Edward and Grace Weaver. (Billy can trace his family back to the 1700s as ministers for the Methodist Church). He graduated from Byers High School in 1958, attended Draughon's Business College for two years, moved to Dallas to attend IBM Business College while working for Pryor Products. He joined the Federal Reserve Bank in 1962 and retired from the data services/information technology department in 1999. He was a member of the 25 year club. For his vacation he worked in the Federal Reserve Bank and the gates for the State Fair of Texas for twenty years. Billy was always known as a Patriot. He worked hard for the Republican Party and belonged to the SW Republican Club. Besides his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe and Dale. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Lucie Weaver, and his brothers: Jerry and twin: Bobby. Visitation with a reception will be on Friday, Nov. 14th from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. at West/Hurtt Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 in the Chapel of the West/Hurtt Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Strempke, of the First United Methodist Church of DeSoto officiating. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville. Memorials are encouraged to your favorite Cancer Charity. Pallbearers are David Smith, David Brown, Dennis Smith, Charles Worley, Ed Zenner and Gus McCoy. Honorary Pallbearer will be Phillip Terannella and J. C. Elliott.
