Bob Mahlstedt

Bob was 84, born in New York City, transferred to Texas in 1961,  and resided in Oak Leaf, Texas.

He was a wonderful husband to Pat for 63 years, and fantastic father  to Bob, Steve (Tita), Scott (Kim) and Mike (Deanna) and fantastic grandfather to Stephen, Jr, (who preceded him in death), Chris, Melanie, Allison, Aaron, Connor, Gillian and Madeline.

Bob was a long time Met Life Senior Account Executive, a member of the President's Club, life member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, chairman of the Ethics Committee for the Dallas Association of Life Underwriters.  He spent his life volunteering: Past President of the DeSoto Rotary Club (was a Paul Harris Fellow), founding member and Vice President of the Ellis County S P C A, served on two school boards, founded the DeSoto Dukes Senior Softball Team, and was President of the Metroplex Senior Softball League and was a District 4 Fire Commissioner.  He received many awards for his work.

Bob served in the U S Army, had many friends, was a World Traveler and dedicated animal lover.  He is truly missed.
