Bobby (Bob) J. Irby May 24, 1927 - March 26, 2013 Bob was a friendly and gentle man that enjoyed running his business, talking sports, and loving his family. Bob James Irby died peacefully at his home in De Soto Texas on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was born in Rising Star, Texas on May 24, 1927. Bob is survived by his son, Carl Irby; grandchildren, Bob S, Tina Marie Nickels, and James Patrick; great-grandchildren, Austin Nickels, Connor Nickels, and Lily Irby He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 51 years, Ida (Ruth), in 2005. A special thank you to his caregivers, Niece Linda Nichols, daughter-in-law Barbara Irby, and family friend Ruthie Miller. Also a gracious debt of gratitude to the Odyssey hospice nurses Betty Gage and Johney Tune. You are all terrific! Bob will have 2 Memorial Services. The 1st to be held on Saturday, April 20, at 2:00 PM in De Soto Texas at Thorntree Country Club, 825 W. Wintergreen Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 (972.296.2146). a reception will follow the Service at Thorntree. The 2nd to be held on Saturday, April 27, at 2 PM, in Vancouver, Washington at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
