Brandi Michelle Loy, 49, of Waxahachie, TX, passed away on August 2, 2019, after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Brandi was born in Dallas, TX on May 21, 1970 to Buddy and Bitsey Loy. An avid dancer at Stubblefield School of Dance, she was also a stellar athlete, playing volleyball and softball all through high school. A graduate of DeSoto High School and The University of Texas at Arlington, Brandi spent most of the last two decades working for GuideStone, helping believers of all denominations with their financial investments. Affectionately known as “Aunt B”, she was loved and adored by her family, friends and all those she who came into contact with her. She is survived by her parents, Buddy and Bitsey Loy of DeSoto, TX; her fiancé Tim Finley of DeSoto, TX; siblings Dawn Humphreys and husband, Mike, of DeSoto, TX; Chris Loy and wife, Kristi, of Mansfield, TX; Katie Loy and fiancé, Michael Davidson, of Waxahachie, TX; nephews Alec Humphreys and wife, Felicia; Zachary Humphreys; Cameron Loy; Nathan Humphreys; William Braddy; and niece, Madison Loy. Brandi is also survived by her future step-daughter, Taryn Rose Finley, her future niece Isabella Davidson and soon-to-be-born niece, Isla Michelle Davidson, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hampton Road Baptist Church, DeSoto; The Avenue Church, Waxahachie; First Baptist, Midlothian; Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, Mansfield; or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends on Thursday - August 08, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 P.M. (all on the same day). Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
