Brian J. Sample

Brian J. Sample, 46, of Coppell, Texas, born April 3, 1970, in Lynwood, California, passed away November 27, 2016.   Although Brian arrived in Texas with his family at the age of four, he had always considered himself to be a “true Texan”.  He still held close ties with his family members in California however, and always enjoyed the times that he was able to travel and see them, whenever he could.    Brian graduated from DeSoto High School in 1988.  He succeeded in a career in sales, both in the restaurant and the oil and gas industries.  It was said that he could “sell ice to Eskimos”.  He loved his family, golf, good music, the beach and the outdoors, and was an avid fan of all Dallas sports teams.   Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Velma Sample and Denver and Frances Hinds (Bubba) and his uncle Rudy Vandenburgh.   He is survived by fiancée Rachelle Royer of Coppell, Texas.  Parents Roy and Linda Sample of DeSoto, Texas.  Brother Craig Sample, sister-in-law Misty Sample and nephews Dylan Foster and Ethan Sample of Forney, Texas.  Aunts and uncles Jack and Mary Schmidt, Danny and Sharleen Sample, Ralph and Chris Hinds, Judy Vandenburgh and numerous cousins.   A remembrance service for the life of Brian Sample will be held:   Friday, December 9th at 1:00 p.m. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints  1019 Big Stone Gap Road Duncanville, Texas  75137
