Brooklyn Marie Bernadette Thompson, 11, of The Colony, Texas, left this earthly realm on January 1, 2020. She leaves behind her momma, Beth 35, daddy, Cody 36, and sissy, Brianna 15. Brooklyn also leaves behind her Poppa, Grandma, Auntie Kim and Uncle Robert, Uncle Joshie, Auntie Teresa, Uncle Rick, Grandma Eva, Stepmom Lala, her puppy dog Bella, and many, many cousins, friends, and classmates. Brooklyn was an incredibly special little girl that touched so many lives in such a short time. Our Brookie’s passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts that will never fully heal. Her family is able to find peace knowing Brooklyn’s soul is Home and she was welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and those of our family that preceded her in death including her great-grandparents and great aunts. Our pain can’t be put into words but through our tears we are determined to honor Brooklyn’s spirit. Brook is a bright light of love, compassion, positivity, and laughter…my God that child loves to laugh and was a naturally happy soul from the day she was born. She loved everyone deeply and knew she was loved by everyone. Brooklyn was a helper and would be there for anyone who needed something, even if it was just a friend. In the darkness of or loss, Brooklyn’s momma and daddy made the decision that she would be an organ donor. During a time when we felt like we couldn’t even breath, our baby’s spirit whispered to us- “I need to continue to help others.” Brooklyn’s gift will save and/or impact at least 175 lives. As parents, this was one of the hardest but also most important things we’ve ever done. Our baby lives on in us and now in those whose lives she saved. As Catholics, Brook received the sacraments of Confirmation and Anointing of the Sick before going Home. This was an amazing comfort to us. During this time, the family asks for prayers of strength, comfort, and healing. All prayer-from all denominations- are welcome and greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make donation to the Brooklyn Memorial gofundme: https://www.gofundme.com/f/brooklyn039s-memorial?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet -Brooklyn came through me to do her work on earth, which includes her manner of death. Now, her soul is free and the love we can share with her is invulnerable to the winds of changing time and space. If we allow ourselves to go into that space of deep love, Brookie is waiting for us there. Momma loves you Brooklyn. Memorial Services are pending and will be posted when scheduled.
