Bruce Adam Plasket

PLASKET, Bruce Adam, born 9/10/1938 in Scranton, PA, died 4/6/2013 at the Dallas VA Medical Center Hospice. Preceded in death by his parents: Adam H. and Mary C. Plasket in PA., he is survived by his wife of 50 years: Claudia Aguilar Plasket of DeSoto; daughter: Mary Plasket-Lambert (John); sons: Albert (Jana) and Charles (Kelly) Plasket; grandchildren: Richard (Anamaria), Wesley, Nicholas, Lauren and Julia Plasket, Ashton, Preston, and Leighton Smith; great-grandson: Jaxon Plasket; sister: Connie L. Howell and brother: Richard J. Plasket (Carol); nieces and nephews. Bruce graduated from No. Lima H. S., named All Ohio Basketball Player of the Year-1956, attended Marquette U. of WI on full scholarships and the U of Pittsburgh, PA. served in the US Army Special Forces in Vietnam as a medic, served in the US Border Patrol and as an Investigator with the U. S. Immigration and Natz. Service for 30 years in AZ, MI, IL, La, and Dallas, where he retired as Assistant Regional Commissioner. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at West/hurtt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A. M. on Friday, April 11, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1111 W. Danieldale Road, Duncanville, TX. 75137. Interment will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with Military Rites at a later date. In lieu of Flowers, donations are encouraged to the American Red Cross or the American Legion.
