Carlene W. Batchelor

Carlene W. BATCHELOR, 85, of DeSoto, passed away January 4, 2023 after an extended illness with Alzheimer. Born in Arkansas, lived in DeSoto, active in teaching at Brook Hollow Christian and Christ Way Academy Schools, and an active member or Brook Hollow Baptist, Colonial Hills Baptist and Galilean Baptist Churches, and a member of the Sunset High School ’37 group of ladies. A loving Christian Mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 2006 Survivors include her sons and wives: Rick and Joy Batchelor of Ovilla, Russell and Lexi Batchelor of Dallas, grandchildren: Thomas Batchelor, Rachel Sharp, Faith Wenbourne, Alex Batchelor, Ellen Thompson, John Batchelor, Michael Batchelor, Sarah Batchelor, Hannah Batchelor, Theodore Batchelor, great grandchildren: Paul Thomas Batchelor, Tyler Sharp, Cecilia Wenbourne, Abel Wenbourne, Alice Batchelor, Samuel Batchelor, Alexia Batchelor, Charlotte Weir, Parker Thompson, Hazel Thompson.

Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, January 9, 2023 at West/Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 S. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Galilean Baptist Church, 1155 N. Hwy 67 in Cedar Hill, TX 75104.

Services will follow at 11 am at the Church with Pastor Matt Wilkerson officiating.

Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville, TX.
