Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P. M. Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the Chapel of WEST/HURTT Funeral Home in DeSoto, Texas. The family will receive friends from noon until service time before the service. Interment will follow at 3:30 P. M. in Rice Cemetery in Rice, Texas. Carol was born in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her mother: Shirley Louise O'Neal of Red Oak, father: Wallace B. Thompson of Waxahachie, daughters: Ericka Valencia of Glenn Heights, Salina Zuniga of Nashville, TN, and Amanda Zuniga of Dallas, grandchildren: Natalie Valencia and Eli Gonzalez, sisters: Tina and husband, Richard Barrientos of Red Oak, and Michelle McElhannon, half-sister: Debbie Thompson of Navarro Mills, and brother: Wallace Shane Thompson of Red Oak and a number of nieces and nephews.
