Carolyn "Caro" Maxine Shaffer

Carolyn (Allman) Shaffer of DeSoto, TX was 88 when she went to join her Lord on April 05, 2025. Carolyn was born in Wichita, Kansas March 21, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents: Emma (Potts) Allman Knight and Hilles Allman and her brother Wilmer J Allman. She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Theodore Louis "Ted" Shaffer; sister in law: Marie Allman; brother in law & wife Bill and Joyce Shaffer; daughter & son in law: Carolyn Janile & James Prasifka; son & daughter in law: Darron J & Lisa Shaffer: daughter & son in law: Annelle Beth & Preston May. She has seven grandchildren: Andy Avirett, Annelyn Wilson, Jimmy Alexander, Amy Byland, Jon Prasifka, & Kim Prasifka, Noah Shaffer, and seven great grandchildren: Ryker & Rowyn Wilson, Estilyn, Esme & Vincent Alexander, Emery Prasifka, & Felicity Byland. Carolyn had many interests including painting, sewing, crafts of all kinds, cooking, and travel. Carolyn and Ted were united in providing a firm faith foundation with strong moral values for their family. Foremost in her life was Church, family and helping others. The family will gather to visit with friends at First Christian Church, 203 S. Main St., Duncanville, TX 75116 on Saturday – April 26, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 at which time the Celebration of Life will begin with Rev. David Cartwright, officiating. There will be no services at the funeral home and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Christian Church of Duncanville, the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you want to send flowers please be sure they arrive at the church on Friday, April 25, between 9:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
