McRee, Cecil Allen, MD, died peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
He was born March 9, 1933 in Dido, Texas to Robert Barbara McRee and Ruby Lee McRee. He was a graduate of Northside High School, Texas Christian University, and U T Southwestern Medical School. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he practiced medicine in Oak Cliff Medical and Surgical Clinic, Torbett Hutchings Smith Hospital in Marlin, Texas, and Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He retired from U T Southwestern Medical School where he was on the clinical faculty. He was an avid pilot who loved flying and building airplanes.
Dr. McRee was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Kompanik McRee and son: Jefferey Wayne McRee. He is survived by his present wife: Imelda Cortez McRee, sister: Robbie McRee Higgs and her husband: Jimmy Higgs, brother: Robert Lee McRee and his wife: Kathy, sons: Cecil Allen McRee and his wife: Corinne, Martin Kevin McRee and his wife: Willynn, and Daniel Scott McRee and his wife: Kim, grandchildren: Erin Colleen Treguboff, Brian James McRee, Robin Shea McRee, and Kelsey Laine McRee, and three great grandchildren.
He will be memorialized at a private family graveside service.
