Charles Bruce Hubbard

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in the Chapel of the WEST/HURTT Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry R. Raines officiating. Interment will follow at Rhodes Cemetery in DeSoto. The family wii receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be channeled through his web site: www.BruceHubbard-watercolors.com Bruce was born in Wheeler, Texas. He was raised in Amarillo, and attended Amarillo Schools. He came to DeSoto in 1988, where he worked with the Superconducting Super Collider, (there his graphic arts talent allowed him to design that logo) then he went to Hewlett Packard and finally EDS. He returned to his art work in 2011. Another one of his art projects was the Amarillo logo that features the two L's in Texas Cowboy boots in AMARILLO. He also loved fishing, painting, camping, all outdoors, keeping in touch with friends from school in Amarillo, antique cars, and he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jorean Hubbard, and son, Toby Hubbard. Survivors include his wife: Linda, daughter: Kaci Hubbard of Irving, sons: Todd Hubbard of Longview, Ben Davis of Dallas, and Jeff Davis of Whitehouse, grandchildren: Brooke, Justin Cole, Maeson and Chloe Hubbard, Braine and Blaire Davis, Chandler, Tripp and Jett Vanderpoel, Aunts: Patricia and husband Bob Johnson of Pampa, and Jo Richards of Amarillo, brothers in law: Larry and Joe Bittick of Amarillo, as well as a large extended family. Pallbearers are Cole Hubbard, Byron DePauw, Joe Bittick, David McDonald, Gene Henderson, Gary Wilhelm, Dave Carter, Jason Skoog. Honorary Pallbearer is Larry Bittick.
