Howard was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence Jefferson Ellis & Lois Evelyn York Ellis; second mother: Verdie Savola Buckner Ellis; sister: Christine Ellis Weatherford; brother: Joe Ray Ellis and grandson: Brad Ellis. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Maureen Ellis; children: Stephen Marcus & wife Becky Ellis, Teresa & husband Steve Rowan, Samuel & wife Cheryl Ellis and Jeff & wife Cynthia Ellis; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers: Joe York & wife Jane Ellis, Kenneth Ellis and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Grace Place Church of Christ, 520 Big Stone Gap Rd., Duncanville, TX 75137 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 A.M. (all on the same day) with Mr. Jeff Conrad, officiating. Interment will follow in Little Bethel Memorial Park, Duncanville, TX.
