Claude J. Duke

June 20, 1925 — September 18, 2009

Mr. Duke was born in Farmersville, Texas to Ulyss Alan Duke and Daisy Jenkins Duke. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard/Navy during WWII. He served in the Dallas Fire Department from 1947-1977 retiring as a Captain. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ouida Duke of DeSoto, sons and their wives Claude Alan and Joyce Duke of Duncanville, Paul Edward and Kathy Duke of Galveston, Donald Ray and Sandy Duke of Garland, and Christopher Aaron and Amy Duke of Arlington, grandchildren, Jessica and Lauren Duke. A Family Time of Sharing will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Hampton Road Baptist Church 400 N. Hampton Road, DeSoto, TX 75115 with Funeral Services conducted at 10:30 A. M. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Hampton Road Baptist Church. Interment with Fire Department and Military Honors will be held following at 12:30 p.m. at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. In Lieu of Flowers, please direct memorials to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TX 38105-1942
