Claude James Josey, Jr.

C. J. was born in Roscoe, TX, had been a licensed minister since he was 21 and became ordained about nine years ago when he was the associate pastor at 1st Baptist Church in Glenn Heights. He had been in nursing for 42 years, including his military time, and a Chaplain and Nurse for hospice the last twelve years. He also was retired from the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife of thirty eight years, Deborah of McKinney, TX, Mother, Virginia Josey of Oklahoma City, OK, sons and their wives, Aaron Blaine and Kelli Josey of McKinney, Timothy Sean and Lesli Josey of Ovilla, Jeremy Matthew and Margaret Josey of Red Oak, TX, grandchildren, Dylan, Kaylin, Tiffany, Tristan, and Maura Josey, sister, Lois Meadors of Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:30 A. M. Thursday, March 10 at First Baptist Church of Glenn Heights, 512 E. Bear Creek Rd., Glenn Heights with Pastor Mike Thornhill and Patrick Archball officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 until service time on Thursday. Interment with Military Honors will be at 1:45 p.m. at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. (We are Lane B) Memorials may be made to American Hospice, 1636 N. Hampton RD.
