Connie La Rue Hedgecoke

Connie LaRue was born October 1, 1937 in Rising Star, Texas, and passed away early June 3, 2024 in Garland, Texas.  Raised in that area, she graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, and began a thirty plus year teaching career in Elementary School Education with the last twenty plus years serving in DeSoto.  Connie was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Olive Head.  She is survived by her husband of over 63 years: Fred Hedgecoke of Garland, son: Robert Hedgecoke of Garland, and daughter: Chi Nafe of Flower Mound.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 S. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, Texas 75115
