Connie Munoz

77 of DeSoto passed away in Waxahachie, Texas. Connie was born in San Antonio, Texas, and had lived in Desoto for over 56 years. Besides being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she had worked for M. E. Moses, the De Soto school system, and the Methodist and Charlton Hospitals. She was preceded in death by her parents,Juan and Vincenta Salazar, children: Clemente Munoz, Jr., and Estella Blanca Munoz; brothers and sisters: Jesse Salazar, Quetta Lopez and Lupe Castillo. Survivors include her husband of 61 years: Clemente Munoz, sons: David Munoz of DeSoto and Edward and his wife Teresa Munoz, daughter: Sally Granados, grandchildren: Michael and his wife Amanda, Carey Estrella and her husband, Anthony Ruiz, Luis, Francisco, Jose and Janette Munoz, great grandchildren: Jay Anthony, Jasmine, Janetta, Jayla, Ameer, Naz, Makenzie, Ashton, Chloe, Kaelynn, Daniella, Alexandra, and Isaac. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the WEST/HURTT Funeral Home Chapel with a ROSARY recited at 7 p.m. FUNERAL MASS will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 512 E. Marvin, Waxahachie, Texas 75165 (972.938.1953) with Father Martin Moreno, officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in De Soto, Texas.
