Cora Dean Porter Courson

79, of Desoto, TX passed away on August 25, 2011. She was a founding member of Hampton Road Baptist Church and retired from Lone Star Gas after 48 years. She is survived by her son: Mike & his wife Karen Courson; grandsons: Nick & Zack Nooteboom and Michael Joe "Toad-Hopper" Courson, Jr.; sister: Sharon Dooley; nieces & nephews: Shannon & her husband Mark, April & her husband Ronnie, Keith & his wife Tori and Niki; many great nieces & nephews; many cousins and brother in law: J.W. & his wife Sue Courson. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 5 - 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115 with Dr. Jerry R. Raines and Rev. Charles Kendall, officiating. Interment will follow in Ovilla Cemetery, Ovilla, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hampton Road Baptist Church or Ovilla Fire Department.
