Daniel “Danny” Hoyt Davis of Abilene, TX was called home to the Lord on June 30th, 2021. Danny was born October 30th, 1969 in Dallas, TX. He was raised in DeSoto, TX where he grew up in the family dry-cleaning business. He would go on to graduate from DeSoto High School in the class of 1988, after which he followed his passions in audio electronics and developed a career in in installation and sales for home theaters. Danny was always rooted in his faith, and wore it proudly as he served his ministry, community, and the Lord. He was most proud of being a father, where every day he gave his heart towards spending time with and raising his three beautiful children. Family, friends, and faith was truly the essence of who Danny was and he will be dearly missed by so many whom he had an impact upon. He is survived by his three children, daughter Channing Davis of Abilene, Tx; son Hoyt Davis of Abilene, Tx; daughter Lilly Davis of Abilene, Tx; mother and step father Sandy and Pierce Monkres of Dallas, Tx; brother Josh Monkres and wife Kylie of Waxahachie, Tx; step-brother Jimmy Monkres of DeSoto, TX; step-sister Joie Cox and husband Nick of Midlothian, Tx; step-sister Paula Monkres of DeSoto, Tx. He is preceded in death by his father, Durward H. Davis; grandparents Tom and Pat Hassell; grandparents Shorty and Mazie Davis. There will be a visitation for family and friends held from 12:00-2:00 on Tuesday July, 6th, 2021 at the West-Hurtt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park at 3:00 under the officiating of Rev. Larry Williams.
