David L. " Dave" Adams

ADAMS, David L. “Dave”, 78,was born February 7, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to George and Hesta Buckalew Adams. Dave was a DeSoto resident since 1965; served in the U. S. Army in 1954 and 1955; retired after 39 years, from Southwestern Bell Telephone. Dave went to be with the his Lord,on March 28, 2012 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the "loves of his life": his wife of 54 years: Paula, whom he married on November 30 1957 in Tyler, Texas; children: Lisa and her husband, Jim Pulliam of Sachse, TX and Matt Adams of Red Oak; grandchildren: John David Pulliam, Joshua and his wife, Haley Pulliam, Jeremy and his wife,Corie Pulliam, and Brittany Adams and her fiance, Jeremy Lang; great grandson: Jimmy Pulliam, and a number of nieces and nephews and additional family. Dave was preceded in death by his brothers; John and Don Adams, and his sister; Georgeanna Adams Yearout. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11 A. M. Monday, April 2, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 310 Roaring Springs, DeSoto, TX, 75115 with Rev. Kevin Strempke, officiating. A time of visiting and fellowship will follow after the service at the Church. Memorials are encouraged to the Church Choir. Honorary pallbearers are the Crusader Sunday School Class and the "McDonald's Coffee Shop Crew"
