Deron Mash

98, of DeSoto, went to live with her Savior on Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl of 69 years in 2003, and her daughter, Manon Grant in 2007. Deron had worked in retail at Sears for over 20 years. Deron loved her Lord and served her Church for many years. At Calvary Baptist she taught the 5 year olds for over 30 years, provided alter flowers at Southwest Baptist Church and was active at Hampton Road Baptist Church the last 10 years. She is survived by her daughter and husband: Carol and Alan Walker, grandchildren and spouses: Wanda and Brian Jordan, Tony Walker, Jerry and Donna Grant and Tom Grant, 7 Great Grandchildren and a number of great-great grandchildren. Her Life will be Celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 in the WEST/HURTT Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Kendall and Rev. Johnny Cartrite, officiating. The family will gather at 1 p.m. prior to the service to receive friends. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Memorials are encouraged to Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N.
