Donald Joseph Dagenais

Passed away at his residence April 8, 2021.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie Dagenais, brother Joseph Dagenais and Brian Dagenais.  He is survived by step-daughter and husband Nicole and Luis Ramirez, grandchildren Luis Reyes, Isabel and Angel Ramirez.  Sister Debra Dagenais, sister in law Barbara Dagenais.  Nephews Grady Dagenais, and family, Thomas Dagenais, and family, Brian Dagenais, and family and Niece Kristen Dagenais.  Close friends Amy and Ed McGrory and cousins Mark and Ramona Dagenais.

He was born and raised in Hartford Connecticut and graduated from Hartford High School. Donald was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force and retired from the United States Post Office after 32 years of service. He then moved to Dallas Texas where he resided and spent the rest of his years giving his life to his grandchildren.  He enjoyed going on camping trips,  Disney World, vacationing and spending any time that he could with them.  He was very close to Luis, being the oldest grand and fondly called "the favorite".  He was proud of him and the choices he made and looked forward to his visits. Donald was very proud of him and his enlisting in the Marines.

Donald enjoyed watching football and never lost his love for the New York Giants even after moving to the south he stood by his team! Sunday mornings, he could be found listening to his favorite artist Neil Diamond.

Visitation for family and friends Thursday April 15, 2021 7:00 - 9:00 P.M West Hurtt Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment with Military Honors at DFW National Cemetery Friday May 7, 2021 at 9:00 AM.
