Dorothy May Coleman died quietly July 31, 2011 at Garnet Hill Nursing Home in Wylie, TX. Born on the 4th of July 1918 in San Antonio, TX she lived most of her life in Fort Worth, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Scott Coleman and her parents Charles Pierce and Beulah Pierce and two brothers Jack Pierce and Tom Pierce. She is survived by three children: Mary Lynne Bright and husband Dr. J. Preston Bright of Richardson, TX; Charles Coleman and wife Shirley Coleman of San Antonio, TX and Clippie Holt and husband Mike Holt of Wylie, TX; grandchildren: John Paul Bright of Irving, TX, Kim Rottino and husband David Rottino of Houston, TX, Dianna Kaiser and husband Dr. Bryan Kaiser of San Antonio, TX, Holli Schmitt and husband Peter Schmitt of Napa, CA and Dr. Michael Holt of San Antonio, TX; great grandchildren: Claire Rottino, Kate Rottino, Blake Rottino, Luke Kaiser, Lilly Kaiser and Ava Thomason. She was a long time member of the Meadowbrook United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, TX, The East Side Art Club of the Fort Worth and the Eastern Stars. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, August 05, 2011 from 10:30 A.M. until service time which will begin at 11:00 A.M. at Wilshire Baptist Church McIver Chapel, 4316 Abrams Ave., Dallas, TX 75214 with Dr. J. Preston Bright and Rev. Tiffany Wright, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-Greater Dallas Chapter, 4144 North Central Expressway, Suite 750, Dallas, TX 75204 or Wilshire Baptist Church Pathway to Ministry Endowment.
