Dr. Randy Bozarth

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday - March 17, 2017 at Gospel Lighthouse Church, 5525 W. Illinois Ave., Dallas, TX 75211 with Pastor Gregg Headley and Pastor Billy Allen, officiating. Dr. Randall Robert “Randy” Bozarth age 67 of Duncanville TX formerly of Bloomington, IL passed away at 10:03 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his residence. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Monday (March 20, 2017) at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with military rites accorded Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard. His brother Doug Bozarth, and his cousins, Steve Westfall and Pastor Dawn Cunningham Young will be officiating. Burial will be at Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean, IL. Visitation will be 5:00 -8:00 PM Sunday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to www.worldmissionsadvance.org Randy was born June 17, 1949 in Bloomington IL the son of Robert Foster and Verle Cunningham Bozarth. He married Susan Marie Reineke on December 5, 1970 in Atlanta, IL, she survives. Also surviving, mother, Verle Bozarth, DeSoto, TX, 2 sons, Todd (Marti) Bozarth, Johns Island, S.C., Chad (Angela) Bozarth, Plano, TX, 3 granddaughters, Abigail, Brooke and Reagan, his brothers & sisters, Loren (Debbie) Bozarth, Bluffton, South Carolina, Dee Ann (Mark) David, Duncanville, TX, Denise (Eric) Smith, DeSoto, TX and Douglas (Cheryl) Bozarth, DeSoto, TX. He is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents. Randy graduated from Bloomington High School and was very active in sports. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam War. He was a Pastor, Teacher and Missionary in Texas serving over 40 nations. Randy was a loving, son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him.
