Earl Ray "Dick" Hunter

78 of DeSoto, had lived in the Pleasant Grove area and the Hunt County area in his early years,he retired from George A. Hormel & Co. He was also a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Earl Hunter and brother, Clyde Hunter. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marieta Hunter, daughter, Elizabeth Amanda Hunter Koning, three grandchildren, Staci Ann Hunter, Jheri Lynn Hunter, Holli Rae Hunter, great grandson, Jack Richard Cloyd IV. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry R. Raines, of Hampton Rd. Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Celeste-Hogeye Cemetery in Hunt, County, Texas, with Rev. Billy Gene Brooks officiating.
