79, U S Army Veteran, of Frisco (formerly of Dallas), TX passed away on April 22, 2018.Edward was preceded in death by his parents:  Willie Ray & Elizabeth Frances Morris Wolverton;brother:  Ronnie Dale Wolvertonand sister:  Sharon Gay Wolverton.He is survived by his wife of 61 years:  Barbara Wolverton of Frisco, TX;sons & daughters-in-law:  Kenneth & Suzanne Wolverton of Frisco, TX and Rev. Kelly L. & Susan Wolverton of DeSoto, TX;grandchildren:  Ryan & wife Jessica Springer, Kristin & husband Josh Pierson, Michael & wife Devin Wolverton, Kelsan Wolverton, Sharon Wolverton and Spencer Wolverton;great-grandchildren:  Hayley, Lex, Jordyn, Cash, Finnley and Travis;brothers:  David Wolverton, Robert & wife Lisa Wolverton and Donnie & wife Tina Wolverton.Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115. Visitation will begin at Noon.  Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Billy Echols-Richter and Dr. Bob Moore, officiating.  Private Graveside Services for the family will follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX,The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials or donations be made in Mr. Wolverton's name to Hampton Road Baptist Church for new Bibles for the sanctuary.
