Elvis Ladoyle Jackson of Kemp, TX, was born December 18th, 1944 in Caddo, OK, raised in Lancaster, TX and passed from this life, to eternal life, at 10:15 P.M. Saturday, August 12th, 2017. He succumbed to strokes caused by treatment of Mesothelioma. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thelma Elizabeth & Elvis Doyle Jackson. He is survived by his wife: Ilene Jackson; beloved sister: Patrecia Kay Jackson McCurdy; nephew: Darrin McCurdy and wife Renee'; daughters: Chelsea and husband David Bayon and Kayla Wren; granddaughters: McKenna Sky and Red Moon Bayon; step granddaughter: Kami Nichole Bayon. Ladoyle was a Vietnam Veteran. He served as a Marine Corporal Engineer and later was sent to Camp Lejune, NC, where he taught engineering and marksmanship to troops, as he was an experienced sniper. He was retired from Union Pacific Railroad, after approximately 40 years of service. Ladoyle was faithful to God, Family, and Country. He read his bible through multiple times every year. He was greatly loved, and will be forever missed, by his loving family. Graveside services will be held in Edgewood Cemetery, 695 Nokomis Rd., Lancaster, Tx 75146 on Tuesday - August 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Jim N. Lang, Pastor, officiating.
