Evelyn Virginia Johnston

97, a DeSoto resident and also Champions Cove, passed away February 15, 2017.  Born in Vienna, Austria, she retired from Vaught, LTV and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, DeSoto Book Club and the Vaught Retirees Club.  Preceded in death by her husband: Richard and daughter: Beverly Jones.  She is survived by her son: Richard N. and his wife: Jo Ann Johnston of Lewisville, TX, grandchildren: David Michael and his wife: Katherine McBride, Christopher Lee Johnston, Jennifer Lynn and her husband: Richard Spitzer, great grandchildren: Drew and his wife: Mandy McBride, Aaron and his wife: Lucy McBride, Anthony and his wife: Johnele, Allison and her husband: Joey Robinson, Melanie McBride, Ryan Joseph Spitzer and David Anthony Spitzer, great great grandchildren: Luke McBride, Blake McBride, Cannon McBride, Noelle McBride, Jase McBride, and Aria Robinson.   The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at WEST/HURTT Funeral Home with Services at 11 A.M. in the WEST/HURTT Chapel.  Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto. Memorials may be made to the Tri-City Animal Shelter, 1150 E.
