Evelyn Maxine Shelby

Maxine Shelby, 88, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Maxine was a long-time resident of DeSoto for 69 years. She had a career she loved in the savings and loan industry. After her retirement, she spent her remaining years traveling the world and enjoying life. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Adele, son-in-law John, sister Charlotte, two step great granddaughters Meredith and Mya, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy, her parents, step granddaughter, four sisters, and one brother. There will be no viewing or visitation. Graveside Services will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 1500 S. Westmoreland Road, DeSoto, TX 75115 on Monday - August 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Larry D. Williams, officiating.
