Fred D. Hedgecoke
Fred D. Hedgecoke, 86, of Garland, TX passed away July 21, 2026.
Fred was raised in Stinnett, Texas and graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and began a thirty plus year career in Coaching and Athletic Directing all over Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Roy, Sr. & Sarah Churchill Hedgecoke; siblings: Roy, Jr., Billie West and Rose and his wife of over 63 years: Connie LaRue Hedgecoke.
Fred is survived by his son: Rob M. Hedgecoke; daughter: Chi Lynn Nafe & her husband Justin Nafe; sister: Mary Simons and a host of nieces & nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday - August 08, 2026 in the Chapel of West/Hurtt Funeral Home, 217 S. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115.
