Garland W. Gibbs

Garland Wayne Gibbs was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 10, 1941. He married Carolyn Gossett 51 years ago. They had lived in DeSoto for 46 years. Mr. Gibbs was a Veteran of the U. S. Army during Viet Nam era. Mr. Gibbs had his own advertising agency for a number of years. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife: Carolyn, three children: Jeff Gibbs and his wife: Mary of Dallas, Jason Gibbs and his wife Tammy of Red Oak, and Natalie Gibbs Croy and her husband: Ronnie Croy of Arlington, grandchildren: Martha, Kimberly, Jessica, Dylan, Taylor, Greyson, Katie and Peyton, Brother: Nat Paul Gibbs and his wife: Shirley ofMt. Vernon, TX, and Uncle: Howard Perkins and his wife: Barbara. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the funeral home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at At the funeral home with Military Honors rendered by the U. S. Army. Interment will folow at Rhodes Cemetery in DeSoto. Memorials may be made to Lung Institute for COPD Research.
