George A. Cole

George Austin Cole passed away from this life June 06, 2014 in Dallas, TX. George was born March 25, 1932 in Shawnee, OK, the son of Herbert & Ellen Cole. He received his education in the architectural field and loved this profession until he retired. In 1956 he married Donna, his wife for 58 years. They have two children Alisa Krieg of Red Oak, TX and David Cole of Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. George had over 30 years of experience in the planning and engineering design and management throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom. He took up art welding and pottery and he and his wife did extensive traveling after retiring. George is survived by his wife: Donna; daughter: Alisa; son: David; grandson: Clint Smith; brother: Stan Cole & his wife Nancy and his niece & nephew. The family will receive friends at the WEST/HURTT FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday - June 11, 2014 from 10:30 A.M. until 12:NOON. A Graveside Service will be held on the same day (Wednesday - June 11, 2014) at 1:30 P.M. in the Little Bethel Memorial Park, 1803 S. Cedar Hill Road, Duncanville, TX 75137. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials or donations be made in Mr. Cole's name to the DeSoto Food Pantry, 302 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115.
