Glee D. Payne, 78, of DeSoto, was a U. S. Navy Veteran, and retired from AAFES.
Glee was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Gordon and Mary Payne from
Weleetka, OK. An infant Brother and Sister, Key and Linda Payne both from Weleetka, OK. An infant Son, Tony Dale Payne, of Weleetka, OK. An infant Grand-daughter, Kennedy Morgan Payne, of DeSoto, TX. And Father and Mother-In-Law, James Leonard and Velma R Lane of Hendrix, OK, Brothers-in-laws, David Lane, Riley Draper, Ronald Nicholson.
Glee is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Payne, DeSoto, TX. Son, Greg A Payne, and wife Angie and their children Kensey Reagan and Gavin Allow Payne, all of Amarillo, TX., Daughter, Tracey D. Wyrick and husband Rik, of Waxahachie, TX. Son, Cary G Payne, and wife Sandi and their children Grace, and Jake of San Diego, CA, and Rylie and her husband Jeremy and their son Kolton of Lewisville, TX., Daughter, Robin Payne and her children Kari, MJ, Joshua, Ashleigh and her daughter Bayleigh, of GA. His Brother, Don L Payne and his wife Geneva of Durant, OK., Sisters-in-law, Paula Lane and Glenda Nicholson, of Denison Tx., Florine Draper of Greenville, Tx. , Brother-in-law, Jim Lane and wife Dovie of Durant OK., He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved very much. And the many friends that came into his life over the years.
He loved his family very much and loved to be around them as often as he could.
His vacation time was spent with the family, mostly camping and fishing. Family and the love of the Lord was the important things in his life. He had the pleasure of serving on the board of deacon for his church, which he served with pride. He will greatly missed.
Glee D. Payne was born Oct. 11, 1936 in Weleetka, OK. After Graduating in 1955 from Weleetka High School, he served 4 yrs with the U.S.Navy. After completing his duty with the Navy, he settled in the Dallas area, working for several companies. He finished his working career with the Army-Air Force Exchange Service Hqtrs in Dallas, TX, retiring in 1993 after working 28 years for them in the IT Department.
Visitation will be held from 3p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at WEST/HURTT Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 A. M. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at WEST/HURTT Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde H. Box, officiating.
Interment with U. S. Navy Honors will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2 P. M.
Pallbearers will be David Draper, Eddie Allen, Brian Allen, Rik Wyrick, Manual Basa, Rick Vasquez. Honorary Pallbearer: Gavin Payne
