92, of Dallas, TX passed away on January 31, 2012. Harold Eugene Blanck was born in Manhattan on May 20, 1919. He spent his life serving his country, first in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and then in service to the poor through his work for the state welfare department in Utah followed by the federal Department of Welfare offices in Dallas. He is preceded in death by his mother Henrietta Murphy Blanck, his father Eugene Blanck, and his two sisters, Henrietta Winifred Fernandez, and Dorothy Tiedgens. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Sarabeth Dryden Blanck. Harold is survived by his children Stephen Harold Blanck, Michael Dean Blanck, Mark Eugene Blanck and Beverly Jo Flach; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife of the last 39 years, Betty Q. Blanck; his step-children Mark Barron, Chris Barron, and Becky Diaz; five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 15th in the Good Shepherd Church, 915 Old Strauss Road, Cedar Hill, TX 75104.
A reception will begin at noon with Mass at 1:00 P. M. There will be a procession with interment at the National Cemetery to follow.
