Harvey Lloyd Shaw

Harvey Lloyd Shaw, age 86, of De Soto, Texas passed away on August 16, 2012. He was born on June 11, 1926 in Dallas to the late Harvey Zachary Shaw and Gladys Wootan Shaw. Harvey was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Shaw. Harvey is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Royder Shaw; Daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Barry Horsak; daughter Marilyn Rushing and partner Michael McKee; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Mike Cothran. He was a graduate of Dallas Sunset High School and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. A love of art and photography lead him to a career as a commercial artist. For a number of years, he was also general manager for the Goodier Company. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Harvey was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served during the Korean War. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday-August 20, 2012 from 2 - 4:00 P.M. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be conducted at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery at 9:30 A. M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012.
