She made dresses and dolls and needlepoint Christmas stockings for all the grandkids and even a dollhouse and a ceramic Christmas train village. We love and miss you, Nanny!” Granddaughter Tabitha said “My Nanny is home in heaven with Grandaddy and Matt. She was the best grandmother! She taught me manners, cooking, and how to braid hair. I will never forget her little chuckle and her telling me how she was “tickled” when she told stories. She made the best scrambled eggs and chicken and dumplings. Rest easy sweet Nanny,” Granddaughter Aubrey credits her Nanny with inspiring her to enter culinary school. “She taught me how to cook and I loved spending time with her. I will miss her so much!” Helen was a 1952 graduate of Sunset High School and an active member of the Bison Alumni Association. After Dad passed, she enjoyed traveling with the Alumni group on cruises to Alaska and Hawaii among other memorable trips.
