Herbert E. Fechner

91, U S Army Veteran of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (formerly of Duncanville, TX for 25+ years) passed away on March 22, 2019. Grew up in Aurora, IL. Attended parochial school. Served in the U.S. Army in the European Graveyard Command at the end of WWII. Graduated from Aurora College 1950. Married Carolyn Rae Douglas September 1, 1951. Retired from Nestle Inc. after 20+ years in quality control. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn D. Fechner. He is survived by daughters Jan (David) Takle of NC, Karen (Larry) Purdy of OH, and Trish Fechner of Carrollton TX, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Graveside Services, with Military Honors, will be held in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mt. Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211 at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday April 02, 2019.
